Founded in Imst in the year 1948 by Mrs. Barbara Pfeifer the Holzindustrie Pfeifer is the core of the, in the meantime, international operating Pfeifer Group.
At the moment are about 500 people at the tyrolian locations in Imst and Kundl employed.

Already in the mid of the 50s of the 20th century Holzindustrie Pfeifer started to bring sawn lumber to the markets of italy, switzerland and germany. In doing so, the cutting capacity was constantly increased. In the meantime we deliver our products to over 50 countries worldwide.

In 1971 we started the production of a 3-ply shuttering panels site in Imst. This was the first successful step into woodprocessing and the first step from a sawmill becoming a wood industry.

At the moment the Holzindustrie Pfeifer GmbH & Co KG is one of the largest woodprocessing companies in europe.

At the sites Imst and Kundl are several factories for shuttering panels, formwork beams, glue laminated beams, single- and three-ply panels, sawn lumber, pellets and briquettes. We even have powerplants to produce bio-energy.

The target of Holzindsutrie Pfeifer GmbH & Co KG is, to continue to concentrate its core competence and to become the market leader of the manufactured products in europe.
